What We Ordered: -Salt Ramen (L) $13.95 I heard of this place from a friend and honestly wish I had taken their advice sooner because it is legit! Don't sleep on it because it's located in a cafeteria. Honestly, I think some of the best food can be found in cafeterias (minus the ones at school) I'm literally the most indecisive person in the world and am always overwhelmed by large menus. We went here kind of spontaneously. I didn't get a chance to digest the menu ahead of time which is something I like to do. I had a bit of time to kill with the lady in front of me taking a minute. I asked the guy behind me what he recommended. He recommended the Salt Ramen and he usually gets a medium, but I'm a big guy I might need a large. I told him it's okay I'm a fat boy and I can eat. At last, that's what ordered, a large bowl of Salt Ramen. My wife and son already ate Panda Express. They were full and told me not to order for them. I ended up sharing my bowl of Ramen with them anyway. As previously mentioned, my wife is very picky with food and is a tough critic. She ate one bite on a full stomach and said 9.5/10. I felt that the Ramen was excellent and one of the best I've had in LA. The Salt Ramen exceeded my expectations. It was that good! The noodles were cooked perfectly. The broth had some depth to it but wasn't overly flavorful. Must Visit! Tips: Bring Cash for tips. There's a sign which states they only take cash tips. I wish I had known.

Near Venice Beach, is a Japanese Supermarket, where there's a small mini mall inside. One of these little stores is a little ramen joint. If you're lucky enough to find it, you're in for a treat, especially on a cold winter day in SoCal. For a long time, I've been coming here for their #34 bowl, but today, I tried their new large ramen bowl called the Toroniku Spicy Shio Ramen. It came with the side dish of ingredients. I added everything into the bowl and took my first slurp of ramen and broth. In a word: Spectacular. I was in a trance and before you know it, the bowl was empty. What just happened? A full belly is what just happened.

Great value and friendly service! I had the spicy miso ramen with salmon and roe bowl. It wasn't very spicy but food was nice and comforting. The food court is really clean and has plenty of seats and there is lots of parking in their lot.

The food was prepared quickly and was absolutely delicious. The service was friendly and informative. The menus were amazing because they had 3D objects showing the exact size and portions. Portion sizes are good. Price is medium, but you get more than what you pay for. Atmosphere is good too, it is a cafeteria with multiple restaurants inside a shopping center. Place is very busy but not relevant to the dining experience. It was good. 10/10

Probably best food court ramen on the west side! I usually eat here before grocery shopping at mitsuwa market because it's fast, delicious and you can customize with extras like green onions or add more charsu (which is perfect ratio of fat to lean). I usually opt for the spicy, but the regular broth is great for times when you just want a comforting rich broth without clearing your sinuses. Service is very efficient without being robotic and I like the thicker noodles they use with just the right amount of bounce.

It's legit. Famous from the 1988 mothership ramen in Asahikawa, Hokkaido. Miso Ramen. Smooth savory broth with perfectly prepared noodle. Garnished with a slice of chatsiu, green onions, bamboo shoots, and wood ear mushrooms (them black things). A seasoned hard boiled egg on the side. Not the best I've ever had, but definitely a letter from Hokkaido!

This has to be one of my favorite ramen spots in Southern California! I've been to their Torrance and Los Angeles locations, all of which are located in the food court of a Mitsuwa market. I'm a creature of habit, so I always order their Miso ramen Combo D, which comes with a delicious Pork Bowl. I noticed that all of their menu items are salty and flavorful. The egg in the ramen is excellent, along with the fatty and savory pork. I'm not going to lie, but I'm addicted to their pork bowl. It's salted to perfection, and I highly recommend this even as a side. At Hokkaido Ramen, they call your number on a speaker, and you can sit wherever you want in the food court. I just left my food on the table, which was cleaned up shortly after.

The natto here is high quality and the closest I can find that was most like the quality I had in Japan. Japan has the best natto I've ever had and I've yet to find quality natto in America until now. Yes the spicy miso ramen here is excellent but I encourage all natto lovers to get the natto here. Pleasantly surprised at how incredible the quality is. My one critique for this restaurant would be I wish they had a house salad available to order. If it was available I definitely didn't see it, the natto made up for it. Definitely give this place a try!!

When I see any Santouka ramen places, consistency always comes to mind. Whether I'm in OC or LA, I love going to Santouka. This time around we were in the Mitsuwa market off Venice Blvd. I ordered the spicy miso ramen set with char sui don. Again, consistency is the key.
